Gay Garcia Biography

Guy Garcia (1928) is a sculptor and painter from Miami, Fla. Born in Havana, Cuba. He showed early interest in drawing, enrolling in art school as a teenager in Santiago de Cuba. He attended Havana's San Alejandro Art Academy and studied painting with Leopoldo Romanach and Domingo Ramos.

Gay Garcia Resumé

Enrique Gay Garcia was born 1927 in Cuba. He is an important contemporary Cuban artist of the Avant-garde generation.

In 1945 he entered the Jose Joaquin Tejada Art School (Santiago de Cuba) and 3 years later started studies at San Alejandro School of Plastic Arts (Havana), the most important school in Latin America and at the Technical Institute in Mexico, F.D., as well as at the Art Institute in Venice and the University of Perugia.
